What Happened in Lisey’s Story Premiere?
Lisey’s husband Scott Landon had died two years before the show’s events. But even now, Lisey is grieving the loss of her author husband. Much that she still constantly dreams of him. Nevertheless, Scott had left Lisey a “bool hunt” for her to find. The first of its clues was a shovel. Lisey had previously used this to save |Scott’s life when he was shot at an event. The second clue for the bool hunt was her sister Amanda’s address book. Amanda was self-harming herself, and in this book, Scott had arranged for contact information for a nursing home, three years ago. Lisey is later encountered by a fan of Scott named Dashmiel who wished to get Scott’s unpublished manuscripts. But on getting rejected, Dashmiel goes over to another fan, Jim Dooley for help. Lisey’s Story Season 1 Episode 2 Recap
Lisey and another one of her sisters Darla, visit Amanda back at the nursing office. Here Amanda tells Lisey how she has had memories of Scottlinger in her head. She even reminds the two sisters how they used to play as pirates when they were children. The ship’s name would be Hollyhocks while they were to avoid a mysterious quiet creature known as “long boy”. Later Lisey calls up Dashmiel to threaten him. She was about to report him to the police for harassment. Dashmiel is quick to realize the problems it would cause, so he calls up Dooley to stop him but his service had been disconnected. Lisey then remembers a memory of Scott when he sold his first book. The couple was having an argument causing Scott to storm off and cut his arm against a window. This was to make a blood bool as an apology. This causes Lisey to locate the next clue for the blood bool which happened to be a picture of them taken the next day. She later remembers how Scott proposed to her as they went to Booya Moon. The fourth clue to the bool hunt was inside a copy of Scott’s novel “Battle Flags”. Later, Dooley breaks into Landon’s previous home from where he stalks Lisey. He later enters her home, for which Lisey visits the Cleaves Mills police chief. She does offer Lisey personal protection but Lisey refuses it. When she gets back home, she finds a bloody crow in her mailbox and a note left by Dooley. Seeing this, she is advised by both Darla, and the police chief to relocate for the time being. Nevertheless, Lisey insists to stand her ground. Later, Lisey even gets a glimpse of Booya Moon in her pool.
