Mortal Kombat 2021: Plot Synopsis
With a total running time of 110 minutes, Mortal Kombat 2021 is a period fantasy drama that starts in 17th Century Japan. Assassins of the Lin Kuei group kill members of a rival ninja clan – Shirai Ryu. Hanzo Hashasi’s immediate family also dies in this clash. Post their death, Hasashi takes his own life too. The entire family is survived by their youngest child – their infant daughter. Raiden decides to be responsible for her and takes her to safety. The main idea of Mortal Kombat is to bring the deadliest and most skillful assassins from different realms together in one realm. This is a neutral realm where no one’s individual superpower works. The representatives must fight off with each other to establish superiority. In the present work, the Outworld realm has already defeated the Earth realm in nine deathmatch tournaments in Mortal Kombat out of a total of ten. Their main aim is to conquer the Earth realm for good. An ancient prophecy is recovered right before this plan is fulfilled. According to this, the ‘blood of Hasashi’ will bring together a new younger generation of champion fighters in the Earth realm, which not only prevent but also possibly overturn the Outworld realm’s victory in Mortal Kombat. The rest of the storyline follows the lives of the different characters as they overcome various setbacks to find Hasashi’s bloodline and set this prophecy to test.
