Back in November of 2020, Channel 34 News originally known for creating pranks and publish fake stories came up with the news of Hwang Hyunjin dating another huge K-pop star. Everyone actually believed it to be true, and the news started trending across the internet and the fanbase of Stray Kids. Only until the fact clear that the channel is actually a parody channel and the stories published there should be taken as a joke. Nothing more nor less than that. Well, it was all clear but the fans still suspected and kept an eye. Much like that, there were many other rumors of him being linked up to including Minnie from (G)I-DLE. But like we said, none of them have ever come true as of today. So coming back into a circle that Hwang Hyunjin is single as of now.
Hwang Hyujin’s Recent Allegations
Most recently, Hwang Hyujin found himself caught in bullying allegations over him. An unnamed schoolmate of his accused him of verbal abuse during their teens. Initially, JYP Entertainment which manages Hyujin, denied all the allegations. Until more schoolmates came out with a similar story of theirs. Bullying became a topic brought into the limelight in South Korea, and a number of stars much like Hyujin, were facing the same issue. Coming back to allegations on Hyujin, one of his mates from Seongnae Middle School stated of facing abuse at such a point. He was almost directed towards committing suicide. Similarly, an incident involving Hyujin beating up a boy for not stopping a soccer ball and then verbally abusing him came out. The boy became an overnight loser for the school. The group chat of school also saw him being harassed by Hyujin and his friends. Despite having no hard proof, he collected a number of testimonies that supported his story. JYP Entertainment conducted an investigation of their own following a number of accusations. This involved interviewing the school teachers as well as all the classmates. The accusations turned out to be true, and since then Hyujin met the accuser and apologized to him personally. Later on, he posted a handwritten statement on Instagram apologizing for the unforgettable pain he gave to the accuser. Following the apology, JYP Entertainment stated Hyujin had been suspended.
